History:
Anthony W. McDonald, clockmaker, was born in Liverpool, England.
Completed a woodworking engineer apprenticeship after high school
Immigrated to US in July 1971, gained his US citizenship in 1976.
Worked for various companies in Arlington, Virginia & Chicago Illinois (including Foote-Jones/Solomon Dresser) before moving south in the mid-1980’s with Service Master (engineering department), first to the Huntsville, Alabama school district and then to Stephens County Hospital. During his time in Georgia, he again took up his career in woodworking engineering, both restoring antique furniture and building true antique reproductions.
After retiring from the millwork business a few years ago, he took up his hobby of clock repair, which has grown into a full time business.
He also enjoys restoring antique and vintage lighting, both oil lamps and electric lamps.
Sheryl has accumulated quite a collection of lovely silver plated items, china, glassware, pottery as well as vintage jewelry and other collectibles.
Anthony is also a licensed auctioneer in the state of South Carolina. Auction services include estate auctions, both personal property and real property (through a BIC), quality consignments when downsizing.
